Invest in yourself

I usually do not like to read the first pages of any books, such as acknowledgement or letters which forwarded by famous people about the book or about the writer. Today, finally i have found it very useful to read. These days I am reading about Economy(Mac, Mic) to improve my knowledge.Anyway in a book I have read a short article forwarded by Sir John Egan(BAA plc chief executive). In the very last paragraph he said: " The most vital contributor to continues improvement is the manager. All managers have to ensure that their own education and training is sufficient for he business challenges of both today and tomorrow.Relying slowly on learning by experience on the job will leave too much to chance. The successful manager of the future will accept responsibility for his or her own development and the development of their staff".
It is right, continues professional development is as important as adopting new and high technology or automatic machinery. As a manager or as an employee never afraid to invest in yourself,if you can afford it. Sometime employers do not like to invest in people because of some risks ,having said that you can do it by your own. No one helps you to get a better position and job within your company, help your self, get a day off work and do a course.Without a doubt the winner is you.
